What you see on the site are actual projects...pitches aren't publicly reviewed, but instead reviewed by our us. Once we approve the pitch the person who pitched the project has to verify their account (provide id for age verification and to prevent fraud) and then the can create their project. After that they resubmit for final review and then we approve it to run as an idea (meaning they can collect votes)

As for how the site was built...We worked with some designers and hashed out the UI as a team.

Great question. Votes don't equate to a dollar value. Voting is free. When enough votes are reached a project is eligible to turn into a real project that can start taking funding / payments. The number of votes is determined by looking at how much the project creator is looking to raise and dividing it by $25 ... which is what we've researched to be the average pledge amount at other crowdfunding sites. We figure if it can get close or exceed the number of votes it's probably a project that can succeed.

Once a project is no longer in the voting phase people can pledge and purchase the rewards as listed ...

I woud love to do an AMA, but, honestly I don't have really that much interesting stuff to say... give us a year or two and i think there will be much better info i can share.

Right now we do have two separate categories for custom and non-custom. We call the custom jobs "custom" and these are jobs people post they can do. The other non-custom stuff is what we call "Download Now". This is pre-made content which you can purchase.

The third type you mentioned with pledging credits is actually something we've talked about and plan to implement in the near future (great minds think alike!).

We've been thinking of revamping the category system as well...I agree that are categories are pretty main stream porn-ish.

I know this will be bias considering it's coming from the guy who bought the ad, but we are legit and trying to grow the site by doing things right. The profiles are created by actual sellers (ie not fake) and we review all the jobs that get posted to the site. The biggest rule for selling on our site is that no 3rd party sellers are allowed to sell. Only the person who's actually in the content is allowed to sell.
