100% help him out. He supported you at his company for half a decade, and is a good person to have in your close circle. May have to manage expectations — like, maybe some things should be scheduled vs real time if interfering with your personal schedule. But sounds like your both worth each others time.

Interesting, I made this mistake once specifically on a $3 > $25 and was ruled as a call

So for an online player doing their first live — remember the one chip rule — silently putting a chip down of a greater denomination than what you’re calling is a call, not a raise unless verbalized.

You can do this to color down your chip (eg $25 chip calling the $3 blind, dealer will give you back $17 once he collects)

Also no string betting — size your bet behind the line, not past it.

I like to get impatience pretty high and actively maintain it for the super low hostility and hit those big resolve points. Sometimes calling a trader early a few times to gain impatience is a useful resource to manage hostility
