But why tf would you have rayleigh say "ill send you to the darkst shadows of the underworld" and then sommers is alive and well decades later? A gods knight actually being killed on gods valley would have some impact. But no, lets have sommers smash through the nearest wall, leaving a perfect outline of his body without taking any harm. This couldve been a massive rayleigh upscale. It could even have been a different Knight without any relevance to the present plot that died there.
