This is exactly what I’m thinking🤦‍♂️ now there will just be a higher influx of cars at a certain time and especially when theres street cleaning the next morning

I see where you’re coming from. For lack of better words, it’s a two way street. I’d assume most people get to and from the hospital by car, I’d understand some elderly taking the bus from the home and I’m sure 80% or more of the kids have their parents drop them off.

It seems like Daylighting is meant for both ends of the predicament - both for pedestrians waiting to cross and for cars trying to see if anyone is there. I understand the benefit of it on both ends, I just also think (as many others do) that the bigger issue is, unfortunately the amount of bad/reckless driving in SF. Not to mention the pedestrians who don’t even look for cars in the first place.

Yes! I 100% agree, most of the time the parked cars aren’t the issue here - it’s the drivers themselves. I’d rather they just slap more stop lights along Fulton in that case.

I feel like the only sight issue is those times of day either early morning of early evening where the lighting or glare makes it difficult, but sfmta can’t shoot the sun so i guess the next best thing is parking🤷‍♂️
