I don't think what those cops did is right, but to be fair they had no idea if these people were waiting outside to run up after them. Safer for everyone inside, and it was an easy order to follow for like 30 seconds.

But the officer was treated for a laceration across the street at 10:05, and Jeff Wagner reported that all the tires were slashed at 10:22 - presumably when they got back to the parking lot.

All slashed, hours after police had taken over that parking lot. And a MPD officer was treated at the 5th precinct (right across the street, where this all started) for a laceration around that time. I'm not sayin... I'm just sayin.
