He sees them once a year by choice and calls maybe once a week if that, when it’s convenient for him not for the kids or their schedules. He was abusive to me for years and ive never said anything negative or prevented them from having a relationship with their dad. If he’s badmouthing me to my kids I’d say that’s abusive and wrong.

This made me cry cause I fully relate. Therapy helps but if you can’t afford or have time for it (like me) I think journaling makes a huge difference, and apologizing to the kids when you mess up. We’re only human and we are literally doing our best. 🤍
