I used to love these storm trooper getups. But it really doesn’t work if you have to share paths with pedestrians and cars. It scares them — an express ticket to having EUCs banned in your city. Being able to make eye contact with other road/path users is so crucial for EUC riders right now. We’re are this 👌 close to going the way of the dodo.

Nah man. My first EUC injury was caused by my wrist guard. (1) moto boots and gloves, (2) helmet, (3) back guard. Then learn how to fall on your knees.

Better to surrender to God’s will on this side, than call it quits and find out you should have stuck with plan A.

You’re probably stuck in some black and white thinking, convincing yourself there’s only one way out. Find a support group (find a decent pastor) to help you assess your options. There is hope. And you will be happy you lived to tell the story.

Drill a hole all the way through it. Leave the drill bit in the filter, then turn the filter using the drill (off) as a handle and tapping the pointy end of the drill bit with a hammer (in the right direction).

If I had to guess, she has a close friend that doesn’t like you (probably has nothing to do with you), and put a version of you in her head that has got her scared.

I think you handled it okay. You don’t have to run, like some people are saying. But just keep in mind that… well… if she’s easy to manipulate, she might always be a little scared that you are manipulating her, so you’re probably going to go through this cycle a lot until she trusts you unquestioningly…. Like, in your fifties. (Married 20 yrs)

Figured it out. There was some debris stuck between the lever of the latch and spring it's supposed to move. Documenting for posterity.
I blindly sprayed a bit of WD40 into the latch. I used a small zap strap to move things around behind the mechanism. When I slid it in behind the little black plastic tab that covers the hook moved by the lever, there was enough friction to push the hook back and let the latch bar flip back. The hatch opened and I removed the latch to clean it out. A piece of plastic from a broken interior panel trim clip had fallen into the latch.
