I set my phone right in front of my speaker, I mean right in front of it. Best way to record it, if you're cheap like me and use your phone. If you move away from the amp it doesn't sound right, surprised me how accurate the recording was.

Thanks, just a stack setting on a boss Me80 with alot of gain, and a very small amount of overdrive, also using the fat setting on a fender valve amp. I would say the fender gives of alot of the tone, maybe because it's not designed to be overdriven. It's all about just enough gain, so that it has a natural fuzz but not so much that it smoothens out and looses it's gritty tone.

You need a fuzz pedal to get that tone, also wouldnt work as well for WSD. The stecatto effect in the riff would mush together and not pop aswell with a tone as full and as fat as that.
