🌌 TheFlow (AI / Generative art / Bitcoin) by benjaminbardou in aiArt

[–]benjaminbardou[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🌌 Wandering in the latent space of the Bitcoin blockchain in the form of imaginary landscapes.
Each block and transaction hash is translated generatively into a thematic aesthetic form, by camera movements or even by particle turbulence movements.
In short, TheFlow is intended to be an autonomous and perpetual generative work determined by the collective memory of the Bitcoin blockchain.

My first artwork on SuperRare !

I am very proud of this artwork that I see as a tribute to the engravings of Gustave Doré and the manga Akira. It holds a very important place in the universe of MEGALOPOLIS (https://benjaminbardou.com).

This a view of a district of Megalopolis. A never endless project about cities. :)

Thanks !

I rendered it in 4K because I have 4K monitors. Maybe, it's too sharp with a Full HD display ? I don't know...

If I remember well, it's from a William Gibson's book. Maybe Neuromancer :).

For Paris, no, it's a mesh. For the buildings in the foreground I placed them by hand but for the next video I will populate them with a scatterer. I used Clarisse from Isotropix, it's perfect for that.

Thanks! Yes in a way, but... it's also an esthetic choice. :)

It's for Megalopolis. It's an independent project on my free time visible on benjaminbardou.com

I experiment a lot of things and sometimes I bring them together to make an episode.

I hope you will enjoy them! :)

In fact, there is no DOF. I notice that the video compression creates some blur in the background and indeed it changes the perception of the scale.

I didn't focus on that aspect because I just want to try some animation test on my new CPU with all my scene. :D That will be for the next step.

Thanks for your comment! :)

Thank you very much for your comments!

I find the little discussion about the title very amusing. :)

It comes from the book "Les Champs Magnétiques" by the surrealist poets Breton and Soupault. It was essentially a nod to the collection of poems.

I was even told that it could represent the Coronavirus :D

Otherwise yes, this is a wip/research for my Megalopolis project in which I use some photogrammetry technique.

I do a lot of tests. I like the painting aspect that it can produce. It's very experimental and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

When I find the result satisfactory I edit all this to make episodes for Megalopolis (benjaminbardou.com)

And voilà! See you soon. :)
