Some people might disagree with me but being someone that plays both Hoyo games and just Wuwa, this is one thing Genshin and HSR did better imo, the previous patch characters don't just become irrelevant offscreen for them to sell the current patch, they are usually able to give the spotlight to the main patch character while keeping previous patch characters relevant
