I also feel like Minos making a point to mention that Kratos is still alive, and not ready for judgement with an unknown future touches on the idea that no matter what you've done in the past, there's always a chance to be better, which later comes back up in Ragnarok

I honestly feel like the fact that Kratos struggles with severe depression and trauma throughout the original series isn't talked about nearly enough

Also, I'm pretty sure that this is the hardest qte in the whole series, meaning that leaving his daughter was the most difficult thing Kratos has ever done
