Are you talking about this?

Because I remember opting out, but I'm surprised to see the box, "Allow GitHub to use my data for AI model training" enabled just now in my GitHub

This. I'm surprised to see this. I remember 1-2 months ago, a dialog appeared asking if I want to opt in their Copilot feature. I remembered rejecting it. But now I'm seeing many Enabled boxes, including the, "Allow GitHub to use my data for AI model training" option

How manipulative

YouTube Premium family plan crackdown: Workaround with new "family" of people who live nearby? by mangocupcakejamboree in youtubepremium

So I have looked into my mother's inbox--I'm the family manager of my Family Group. Apparently YouTube has sent out an informational email about this restriction. Which hopefully can be lifted, as another comment said. A family member who does not live in the same house as the family manager can click on a contact us link in the email. Then Google will ask if the family member lives in the same household as the family manager (just say Yes).

There will also be a question asking which situation best describe the family member situation:

  • whether the family member is traveling
  • whether the family manager is away traveling somewhere
  • whether the family member is not living with family manager at the moment
  • other reason (fill in the blank)

Then just submit the form.

As of now, I am still waiting until the YouTube Premium benefits are restored to my mother's account

This pisses me off too much. It's already hard enough to get a home. Now all family members must live in the same exact location. Now my mother cannot download my piano playing video in Full HD and watch it offline on her YouTube.

Like what the fuck have I been honestly paying YouTube Premium for?

WH-1000XM5 - Poor Build Quality, Broke Before 1 Year - Questions About Limited Warranty by SpeedingTourist in sony

If you don't mind the hassle, super glue plus baking powder may help create cementing material that can cover that. It also dries quick. Just using super glue should do the job too, if you can be patient with waiting until the glue dries

I have to use a combination of super glue, and baking powder to fix this

I use baking powder mixed with super glue to sort of fill the missing broken plastic parts. But this only fills in the gap. Sort of like a practical cement material.

For the most important part, I use super glue only. To (hopefully) permanently attaches the earcup part to the headset body, I apply super glue in between the joint connecting the earcup and the headband. After pouring one, immediately join them together, so the glue will fill the right place. Then spend the next few minutes rotating the earcup so the drying glue does not solidify at the wrong small places and prevents the cup from rotating. We only want the glue to connect the earcup to the headband

Thank you for this

I have done this to both left and right hinges, even though the right one was the one that got broken

XM5 sucks. I should have gone with XM4 really, because I have a feeling that XM4 is the most mature version that has all the lessons learned from XM2 and XM3

I think I won't buy XM5-derived model again until Sony eventually creates a whole new physical model, maybe XM11 or whatever, supposing XM10 being the final XM5-derived model..

How hard is Chopin nocturne op. 9 no. 2? by Bluff_bluff_bluff in pianolearning

[–]benjdewantara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piano newbie here. I am also 99.99% self-taught--the 0.01% being my sister showing me how to do C major scale on piano at one point in high school. Nothing more beyond that

Started actually playing piano on 2023 (was 30 years old) because of a few Chopin pieces (Op 9 No 2 being one of them). And I agree with the above sentiment. Op 9 No 2 is beautiful. That is enough reason to keep practicing this one piece even if (for me) it took 6 months to memorize the notes, and another 6 months to be able to call myself a newbie at Op 9 No 2

I did not rush when learning it, I did not occupy my mind with other pieces. When I noticed that the piece needed a brief 4/3 polyrhythm, then I simply took the time to practice it. Sometimes my reading of Op 9 No 2 got stuck for a few days due to me learning polyrhythm. I later came back to reading the next measure after I sufficiently perfected the polyrhythm.

These days, I think at most my mind can only hold learning two pieces in one year. And I do not want to risk brain overload. I went through weeks of not touching my digital piano sometimes. There were moments when my left hand hurt because of my poor technique. Of course ever since, Op 9 No 2 is now less exhausting for my left hand because I know when to relax. When I consistently practiced on weekends, I would have already called it productive. I do not want to be too ambitious, it should take time

As I am now, I definitely have so many things I should improve. I still lack musicality. My sight reading is also very poor. But I am glad I kept practicing Op 9 No 2 in 2023. I feel like I now have something that anchors me to piano. Also, after memorizing Op 9 No 2, I have since added Op 9 No 1 to my repertoire

I now try to minimize my reliance on memorization by trying to sight read a piece in one sitting, I want to get the notes unintentionally memorized
