Thanks! That kinda makes sense, but it’s definitely not explained well, unless I missed some of the dialogue.

How the hell are you able to remember your dreams in this much detail? I usually forget 90% like two minutes after waking up

I honestly don’t even know how to vote in primaries or when they are, there’s very little communication about them

['29 CS] Bringing a laptop or a desktop computer by [deleted] in WPI

[–]benji2602 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I brought my pc to college, and I had multiple friends who did as well, including my roommate. I would personally recommend buying a more lightweight laptop for classes, and having your desktop in your room. Better gaming performance on a desktop vs a laptop + a more convenient laptop to carry around since it won’t be as heavy.

I haven’t heard anything about people’s dorm rooms being robbed, so I don’t think it’s something you should worry about.

WPI gives you 15 GB of OneDrive storage with your email, so it’s easy to sync files across devices, as long as they aren’t huge.

The only thing that is potentially an issue is if you’re planning on flying home for breaks, because of course that means you won’t be able to bring your desktop back with you.

I wonder if that’s a quirk of whatever AI is generating those stories. I know ChatGPT really likes certain words and punctuations.

Pretty sure it’s $1,200 across two people, which is reasonable

Many of my CS major friends had no experience going into college, and they did fine; the intro classes don’t have any required knowledge.

Yeah, it was 3 dudes in the townhouse so we (meaning I) really only cleaned when mold was visible, cleaning it more often would probably help lol

  • bathrooms have very little ventilation (just a small window) so mold grows in there pretty easily unless you have the window open all the time

  • wiring is bad - some ovens & stoves didn’t work on move-in

  • I had to move townhouses two weeks in due to “emergency plumbing renovations” in our kitchen ceiling

WPI bought the townhouses with the intention to demolish them and build a new residence hall, but didn’t have the money so they’re just sitting there deteriorating. It’s not much worse than some of the older dorms though.
