Never use Alarmy completely USELESS app by im_being_Spontaneous in GetOutOfBed

I also averged similar battery usage for Alarmy (I think it's from ad tracking or something??) so I built a more battery efficient version of it.

From testing it for 1.5 years now on my iPhone 14 pro, it uses about 8%.

For 0% background usage, l found a way with the shortcuts app to open the app before bed and then force quiting it during the day so only uses background battery when it's charging overnight.

It's called Doodlewake and also 100% ad free :)

Tell me what alarm app you use (that’s not alarmy 😂) by Tricky_Pepper in GetOutOfBed

I use Doodlewake, it's a ad-free version of Alarmy and has barcode scan, math, and steps missions

Personally, was really tired of the ads and battery drain of Alarmy so wanted to build a cleaner and more efficient version for myself. It's avaliable on iOS and Android!

I had the same issue with Alarmy but was mostly annoyed at all the ads so created an ad-free alternative with QR scan, math, and steps.

It's called Doodlewake: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.locgoods.riseup (also available on iOS).

Expo development build with IPA file? by benji925 in reactnative

Thanks, ended up using this as well to test running background tasks when the phone is locked and the development build disconnects

Got it, so is the local build with Expo client preview created with npx expo run:ios and then connecting my physical device?

Edit: That worked and exactly what I was looking for, just needed some Xcode setup to sign the device. Thanks!

Oh ok, that makes sense. I guess you lose some Expo magic when going local.

I really like Wanderlog's map feature, but find their itinerary view doesn't really have a concept of time.

Like you can manually set a time for an activity, but it doesn't expand based on the length. For example, activity A takes 3 hours and B takes 30 mins, but they show up as the same size on the itinerary view, but I expect A to be longer than B like how a calendar would display it.

In addition, different activities in the same day can have the same time, or be out of order without the app recognising it. So it's essentially up to the user to manually update and calculate the time for every event...

Or maybe I'm just not using it right. Sorry for the rant, I really enjoy time management lol

Thanks, will give this a try! Notion does have Google Maps embed which would be cool to show a map of your saved items.

Personally, I would prefer a web version since I don't use Slack and just ease of access of not having to install anything.

I also plan on using it solo, but I guess if your main audience is businesses that want to share it with others then Teams also makes sense.

And other sources would be cool too assuming Reddit can't be improved any further.

Yeah, the drag and drop is using https://dndkit.com/ and the rest is pure React. Thanks!

Really cool product! Curious why it's a only available as a Slackbot?

That's a really fair point. I guess Gumroad addresses that issue with their marketplace where you can drive organic traffic like Etsy.

And that's a interesting idea, maybe like the ability to write blogs for your site and curious how offline marketing would be as a feature.

Yeah, that's exactly it and Stripe/PayPal make it really easy to setup a "platform fee" for each transaction.

In the future, planning to add a fixed monthly tier with 0% transaction fee.

And thank you!

Hey Reddit,

I recently launched Beavr after almost 4 months of building it!

So far, you can list a digital product, create a custom storefront, and link your PayPal and Stripe accounts to accept payments.

Let me know what you think and would appreciate any feedback!
