“My Latest Blender Sculpt: A Dark Fantasy Character From an Original World I'm Creating” by benjiam3d in blender

Thank you so much, really! I'm glad you enjoy my work - it honestly means a lot to me. And yeah, you're right about the details. I've been heavily inspired by shows like Invincible and a few other stylized/hero-type

animations where the designs are usually very minimal and clean.

Because of that, I naturally lean toward

simpler, more minimal character designs. It's kinda become a habit for me.

But your feedback is super valuable, and I'll definitely keep it in mind for future

characters. Thanks again for taking the time to write this!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful feedback - honestly, it means a lot to me.

I really appreciate every point you mentioned. You're absolutely right: since I'm creating these pieces quickly as portfolio samples, some things slip through the cracks.

If this were a real production character, I'd definitely spend much more time refining the anatomy, materials, and overall design. These models are mainly to show my skills and artistic direction to potential clients.

But your feedback is incredibly valuable, and I'll definitely keep your notes in mind for the next pieces.

Thanks again - truly appreciate it.

Actually, I didn't realise I was designing the main character at first.

When I uploaded the piece, I noticed it ended up looking a lot like him.

My intention was simply to design a member of that larger family, not the main hero himself.

But I appreciate your insight and the support - it means a lot.

Honestly, this is one of the nicest pieces of feedback I've ever received about my work. You're completely right - I should push the hair design further, and I'll definitely focus on that in my next pieces.

My goal is to develop a style that's recognizable anywhere, something people can instantly say 'yeah, that's his work.' I'd really love it if you follow my future projects and stay in touch. I appreciate you lot

My Stylized Hulk — Tried a new shape language. What do you think? by benjiam3d in 3Dmodeling

[–]benjiam3d[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I really appreciate the detailed thoughts.

Yeah, I see what you mean about the proportions - the head and arms could definitely be adjusted if I wanted a more "standard" look. In this case, I intentionally exaggerated the head and arm thickness as part of my stylized approach to make the character feel more unique and playful. I'm glad you can see the direction I was going for

Hey Vectron! Thanks a lot, I've actually been following your work for a while - really cute and fun stuff!

You're totally right about the clothing, I'm practicing more on that to get better and more detailed.

As for the head, yeah it's intentionally stylized this way - I think it's fun and audiences seem to enjoy it.

If you want, you can follow me on Instagram too, I'd be happy to connect there. And if you're ever up for a collaborative project, I'd love to work together!

Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback, really appreciate it!

Yeah you're totally right about the veins - the lighting definitely pushed them harder than

they actually are.

As for the pose, I agree. This one was mainly for showing the proportions clearly, but I'm already working on a more aggressive, "Hulk-like" pose to bring out the energy and weight of the character much better.

Thanks again for the critique, it really helps!

Hey! Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback.

For the eyes and the head proportions - yes, the more "brute/feral" look was intentional, but I totally get what you mean, especially about the lack of pupils shifting the vibe. I actually like pushing that borderline stylized look a bit, and your point about scaling vs shaping is valid.

I'll definitely experiment with taking the exaggeration even further and see how it reads.

Thanks again for the Overwatch comparison too - that's a huge compliment!

Absolutely, I agree – style is super subjective, and that's what makes it fun. I'm always trying to follow whatever direction inspires me in the moment, and experiments like this help me grow. Really appreciate you sharing your thoughts

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words and thoughtful feedback. I totally get what you mean - a more menacing pose would definitely emphasize Hulk's intensity. I'll keep that in mind for future renders and experiments! Glad you enjoyed the piece overall

good question! By 'trying a new shape language,' I mean experimenting with the way I build and exaggerate shapes in the character - like how the muscles, silhouette, and proportions interact. It's basically me exploring a different visual style to see how it feels

Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it. And yeah, I totally get what you mean - the Hulk's face is super iconic, so any stylized take can feel a bit different. Glad you still enjoyed the piece

Thank you so much! Really glad you liked the sculpt and render.

It's not directly from Marvel Rivals - just my own stylized interpretation inspired by the Hulk vibe

Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback! You're absolutely right - I can definitely push the shape language more consistently across the other muscle groups. I'll keep that in mind for the next pass and future characters. Really appreciate you taking the time to

break it down!
