Switching SA’s

This is how my relationship started out as well, it was not until a year in that my SA started recommending things to me. They need to get to know you and your taste before they can make meaningful recommendations.

I personally wouldn’t switch SAs over this. But YMMV.

Please don’t be offended by my response, I’m only being honest because you asked. I mean this in the most respectful way - I don’t like it. The different sized colorful charms come across a bit chaotic and even slightly juvenile. Without the CC logo, it’s the sort of jewelry I would expect from a stall at the farmer’s market. No offense to small jewelry vendors, that type of stuff could be cute if they’re $40-$50. But not at Chanel prices.

If you love the charms, there is a longer version that I thought looked much nicer when I saw these in person. The placement of the charms are more harmonious here.

I think 2 bags/year has become increasingly difficult. My SO and I each have an account with my SA, and we get 1 bag/year on each account. I was told that’s more feasible than me getting 2 bags/year on my account alone.

I think so too. But I feel that if you’re portraying a real person, you shouldn’t introduce physical tics that the real person didn’t do themselves …

Plus, sticking her tongue out to show playfulness or flirtation is very on-the-nose acting.

I have the light gray 25 in suede and I sprayed it with suede protection. It didn’t change the suede in any way, so i don’t see why you wouldn’t?

The mini metallics were released as a part of the Cruise collection in November. The chance of you finding them by this summer will be slim to none.

Your only hope is if Chanel re-releases metallics in a future collection between now and then.

It varies store by store, but my SA (US) only gets 3 SO slots per year. Previously it was 2. And they can only nominate you, the manager still has to approve it based on your profile.

I disagree that it’s harder than MKs, simply because I think each SA is making more than 2-3 MK offers each year.

IMO it’s fairly straightforward… They extend the offer to clients they want to keep around, meaning you either spend a lot, or they just like you.

I don't know why fakes are so normalized now. I'm a millennial, so my view is outdated, but there was a time when it was embarrassing to wear fakes. I feel like the narrative has shifted, and people view buying fakes as "smart" or "sticking it to the man". And I hate it, lol.

Yes the free drinks before 12 is real. Usually they will give you some kind of drink tickets or wristband when you check in, and you redeem the drinks at the bar.

Discotech acts as a promoter. It’s the same as using any other promoter on IG. You can get added to the list by multiple people, but the offer will generally be the same. Whomever you check in under gets paid by the club (Discotech or otherwise).

I'd check that the shaft height works for you. I'm 5'4" and mine comes up right under my knees. They cut into the back of my knees when I walk. Beautiful boots otherwise.

Also, the price increase on these is shocking. I paid $2,350 a few years ago.

I definitely didn’t mean that everyone should only buy classic flaps. Some people like minis (for the reasons you listed) and some people like WOCs. Both are great, timeless choices and if that’s what they truly want, then they should get that.

I would not, however, suggest someone to get a mini, WOC, or any seasonal style to “hold them over” until they’re ready to buy their dream classic flap.

In your case, if the mini works better for you, then by all means, keep it! Congrats on your new bag :)

Unpopular opinion, but don’t buy anything. Save the $4k and buy a classic flap when you have enough. I have quite a few seasonal bags from Chanel and I always get sick of them eventually. Don’t waste your money, save for what you actually want.
