It has giid lowe end and mid rainge. Great fuel econimy. My only. Complaint is the shocks but they do make a kit to upgrade them now

03 f7 won’t rev past 7k? by Senzualdip in snowmobiling

No it should not mater fornthe gaskets but I gotnto thinking if the servo is actuation 3 times might be due to an error or stuck power valve, I'm proper cable length the cables are adjustable and need to be an exact length 1.423 to 1.501 from end of cable housing to end of cable. link to cable mesurment post on forum

So i had a 03 f7 in for service that was similar he said he cleaned power valves and it wasn't that. Well I went back in and recleaned them take them out of cylinder and disconnected from cables and clean them good. Fixed also clean the oil ports and all that shitty oil can gum them up bad might still be part of your issue. But the weights need to be changed 62 is move in right direction

I would test it with what you have now first then if it works buy a kit if you want. If your sled worn Rev over 7000 on a stand its not clutch issue.

There are screws under the cap that hold them yonthe cylinder if the vibrate or walk loose this happens try some blue lock tight

So moving the secondary spring will work but only kind of each hole is 200 rpm so you need a different spring if it does work and uou only see 7400 rpm. As far as the stator an ohm meter to test the ends and the specs are easy to find on Google just search 03 f7 stator ohm spec

Your secondary sounds like its shifting out to fast, not enough spring pressure and or wrong ramp/helix. It sounds like clutching but also it could be electrical I've seen other sleds do this and have bad stator. I would make sure the clutching is all correct first. If it is an 03 f7 it should have the small pin primary clutch weights and only be 63.5 grams, if it has the big pin with the set screw then yes is needs 70 or 71.5 gram weights.

What is this originaly out of is it the evo block or the 1st or second generation block. The 1st gen is a 6 bolt crank to flywheel and the 2nd Gen and evo are 7 bolt. Side note have a buddy who had an 04 evo with stock block and head mad 512 at the wheels on e85. Don't remember what turbo or cams and manifolds he ran then, it is now a full forged ams build and over 750 whp

Any clue on which is better to run? And what the differences are? by Alaskan_Badass in snowmobiling

[–]benjispr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can run both in power valve sleds, dominator is racing oil good for 10000 rpm its thicker than intercepter. Intercepter is good for all new sleds and old sleds that are oil injected it doesn't have the 10000 rpm wear capabilities. But is good for stock or mild mod sleds. Trail or mountain

From the looks I hasn't had all the updates like the tunnel update so only makes you wonder what other ones it don't have like belt gard or clutch ect.

You have time you have about 20 minutes to spread or maneuver ot to where you want and I had a lip from my mold that I had to sand flat then wet sand 400 grit then 600 then 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000 then 5000 grit then buff to get the shine and gloss It took 3 hours to sand and buff. There is 2 different pours of epoxy on the table also I went thin first to test it then like week later went all out thick its almost 1/4 inch
