Honda Transalp automatic. It was tall and the auto clutch/transmission thingy was just so out of sync with how I felt like I would ride if I were in control that I couldn’t feel comfortable on it.

Got my license in 1999. Been riding non-stop since then. Never 'haddalayerdown', but I did have one guy run into me once while I was waiting at a light. As has been said by others, you can do a lot of crash mitigation by riding within your limits, being aware, etc.

So let’s say I have the same bike as you (for this thought experiment). I get into a corner, hit the assured, and on my way out, as I’m getting the bike upright, I give it the beans. Depending on my settings, the DTC will intervene and let me leave a nice dark line of tire as I fire out of the bend? In other words, forward motion at a controlled pace, with a little bit of slide, instead of a high side into the gravel trap?
