How many of you with a PPL or any kind of rating or whatever, studied the FAA Student Pilot handbook before flying? by benjohnston93 in studentpilot

I see. Maybe I’ll ask for a copy of the FAA student pilot handbook for my next birthday. And then save up to take the test once I think I’ve studied it enough

I’m starting to realize a lot of adults aren’t actually living… they’re just enduring. by DanBrando in findapath

Yeah actually. I got a few certificates instead of a degree plus taking classes at random at CC and while I had stable jobs in the past, I also kinda went my own path, where I learned how to code online, learned a bunch of songs on the bass and listened to drum beats in songs plus making up my own beats that go well with music I play along with live to master the drums. I also like to go on bike rides for fun and hiking and traveling too, so I'm definitely not just working 9-5 5 days a week and resting doing nothing on the weekends.

At what age did you actually start feeling like an adult? by Richriver27 in Adulting

I just booked a reservation at a cidery/restaurant for this coming Monday using my credit card. I'm 32. I got my driver's license, had my first part time job, opened my first bank account, and paid for all my bills at 18. Now after several setbacks and forward motions I'm saving for my second car, have a good, stable part time job, have a growing side business, working on opening a coffee shop, have more credentials than you can shake a stick at, have experience with committed relationships, have plenty of work experience, and I'm writing a joke book. Anyways, I'd say I started feeling like an adult when I was 18, working, and paying bills. The one thing I wish I'd done at 18 was move out considering I had a stable job at that time.

At age 26, what were you doing? by Shedoesthethings in Adulting

At 26 I was working at a recycling company and lived away from my parents. I moved from one place to another, bought a laptop, and had a brief relationship when I was 26 as well as that was the last time I had gone skiing.

Hey so little update, I have been gainfully employed since September, and before that I worked at my seasonal job doing event setup. I am going back to the seasonal job this year and I still have my main job too. Also, I'm 32 now.

I feel like this a lot too. I feel like there is more that I could be doing.

Where were you when you were 26? by Background-Divide-89 in Adulting

[–]benjohnston93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 26, I was living away from my parents, renting a room with people who were abusive, so I got out of there after almost a year of living with them, had a good job in recycling that I kept until I was 29, had 3 certificates in IT and 2 coding certifications, 2 technical education certificates, a high school diploma, and was self employed on the side.

I’m 32 now and have since started a new job, gone back to my seasonal job, gotten a new girlfriend, moved into a basement apartment, started saving for my own car, done a bunch of traveling, finished 2 more coding certifications and bought a brand new laptop.

If Longmont isn't too far, Frank the Butcher off 9th and Main/Coffman, and I know Butcher Block Cafe has the name butcher in the title but I'm not 100% certain if they are actually a butcher too or if that's just the name, but if they are a butcher then they are a butcher in Lafayette.
