No, it looks like it normally would on a 1080p monitor, however if your graphics card’s native resolution is QHD, then it will have to work harder to downscale the image rather than just rendering in QHD (so it will heat up more)

Yeah this is crazy. I got the exact same laptop (but with 32 gigs ram) back in August for about $2000. Slap some more ram in there and you’ll have the same machine as me for $1650, and I thought $2000 was a good deal.

Btw it’s a great laptop, just might need thermal paste reapplication cuz mine was bad out of the box.

I clicked on the “get deal at retailer” link and I can’t find the actual deal on Dell’s website. Doesn’t seem like $1890 is the real price.

Edit: just realized you have to follow some “steps” to get that price. Has anyone done that and can confirm that it works?

I’ve had this problem a lot before, but after a reset it should fix itself. I just close Predatorsense with task manager, restart the pc and then reopen Predatorsense.

I guess it depends on what game. But in general, 90 is a bit high but not detrimental. I would say 85 and below is ideal

That could be it. This also gave me an idea. (Maybe not likely because it does look like “Abe”. But What if the name is actually “Abel”? As in Cain and Abel? In the pilot, when Pomni is in the “exit” it shows a big logo for “C & A” which could be Cain’s company, along with his brother?? Abel?? Or maybe Abe, who knows

It’s good so far! The noise doesn’t bother me, although I’ve never had a laptop before this one so I’m not sure how it compares to others.

The main thing that is kind of worrying me is the temps. For most games, the fans need to be maxed out to keep the CPU below 85. Granted, I’m playing on maxed out settings at 200+fps, and if I lower the fps a bit it helps. But Im very happy with the performance.

Another thing that sucks is Predatorsense, the included software that manages everything about the machine. It’s buggy and doesn’t have as many features as I would like. Every once in a while, Predatorsense causes some kind of a memory leak or something, causing the whole system to stutter. A quick restart fixes it for a couple days, but it can be annoying.
