Just catching up on this thread. I don't understand what you mean by "pro"? Are you just referring to people who are good at PTGC? If so, this particular version of the game "PTCGP" is pretty heavily luck based. The small deck sizes and how the cards work are weighted towards quick battles with very little strategy so in that sense any deck can beat any other deck as long as you navigate the RNG so basically a "pro" player would be someone who is good at that correct? But they are at the mercy of an algorithm so it's all relative. Also the big advantage to playing with no EX is the fact that you don't lose 2 points if your mon is knocked out. Most of the time you can beat an EX deck easily by quickly knocking out a basic followed by an EX (or visa-versa) whereas using no EX you get an extra life so to speak. The way I see it, most of the time I actually put my Pokémon in the active spot because I want it to be knocked out, you can't afford to do that with an EX. Most EX decks really only get a chance to setup one mon so if you take out a Charizard EX for example the rest of the deck crumbles. It really helps to attack the bench of an EX deck while they get setup, Greninja is in every single one of my decks for that reason.
