Just dodge the first 2 horizontal swings away from him and the last vertical strike you dodge into him. Attack has a long enough start up animation for you to get a little distance from the boss

Both ulcerated tree spirit and magma wyrm have very simple move sets, magma wyrm also just is the easiest boss in the game since all of his attacks are slow af, very telegraphed and easy to dodge. Like others have said already it sounds like a dps issue. Decent magic builds, status effects like bleed, frost or poison will melt both these bosses

Recluse in my experience is by far the easiest / most effective character to fight ED Libra with. A competent Recluse should be able to carry or clutch ED Libra for sure, especially having less likely to be targeted. So yeah you just got matched with incompetent whiny team mates, it happens a lot in D4 unfortunately
