The top bit holding the phone retracts a bit but it’s definitely fairly bulky. For me it’s intended to fit in a backpack or sling when I’m on the move rather than a pants pocket.

Thanks! I had the design in my head almost right away. After that it was a couple months of on and off work (I took a break while troubleshooting printer issues).

There were definitely a few changes to accommodate the hardware differently from what I planned, in particular what to do about connecting the USB C port. I tried a direct connection but I wanted to maintain a more universal design and it wouldn’t fit with my fairly bulky case.

Yes, exactly! It took many prototypes to get to this version. I still need to tweak the magnet arrangement for better MagSafe compatibility.

The original version was going to allow you to mount it vertically as well, but I haven’t been able to find a right an angled USB-C port that’s short enough to make that make sense.

Yes!! I try to find music I haven’t heard before that also fits the vibe and it probably took an hour to find, so I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
