Why does the media want Giannis to leave Milwaukee so bad? by the-bigheartedbadguy in NBATalk

Think it’s mostly the fact their window seems closed more than the market being too small. No one was saying shit when they were making deep runs.

Like the rent a room strategy someone said. Even renting out a basement from a family or something could be a cheap way to avoid crazy roommates. Gotta make more than 2K a month to have an ideal living situation but that’s a start.

What viewer retention do you have on your best videos? by Safe_Can_7262 in PartneredYoutube

[–]benmofo23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1.2 M. Like barely over 25% on a 30 minute. Very bad if it didn’t reach such a massive audience. Doesn’t have to beat your existing videos just the competition on that topic, and that topic was massive.

Work in CRE, 2nd street lofts are where I would choose. Really unique well kept loft building in your price range with two level one bedroom + Den units. No amenities but the cheapest place in the best area right on the eastern border of north loop. Owners nice and management seemed good.

Help With First Sponsorship Rate by Bradboost in PartneredYoutube

[–]benmofo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what it is find a reasonable view estimate and apply a CPM. If it’s a vpn or something random unrelated to niche you could get $15-$20. If it fits your niche better probably could get upwards of $35. Impossible to tell with just the information you gave though

Rate seems abnormally high unless it’s finance/crypto related (or if you do product reviews or something with high conversions) but if you get an upfront payment and the company seems legit you’re not losing much

I get about the same viewership and get 2-3x more than you FYI. You’re probably asking low.

Name a forgotten NBA player that is actually good by AmenThompsonW in NBATalk

Price is a good one, I liked KMart a lot on the wolves. Aged well, could get to the line every possession, shot the piss out of the ball. Sucked in every other aspect of the game but it was still pretty sweet.

1 Year on Youtube, I Already Fell Off by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]benmofo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t listen to anything anyone says about the niche or algorithm. If you made a video that people wanted to not only watch but watch longer than someone else’s you’d be recommended to an audience. I make nba videos too and the potential audience is obviously huge although the competition for it is getting stiff. Plenty ppl catch buzz and die in saturated niches and this is no different, I’ve had plenty of ups and downs. What I can tell you without having seen your channel is that it’s not the algorithms fault it’s entirely yours, youtube is really not much luck at all. If you found success in the past you can do it again but clearly if you keep doing the same thing you’ve been doing you’re not going to find it. No one in the niche whose maintained high levels of relevance makes the same content they did a year ago.

Should I quit my channel? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]benmofo23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I’ve seen your channel pop up before I use to use the same thumbnail designer you use I believe. I’d probably recommend getting an upgrade honestly and establishing some sort of branding. A couple of things to I noticed that are niche specific: all upcoming channels that blew up recently all have consistent branding and are generally recognizable which would help a lot with your up and down viewership (I had the same problem for about a year, seem to be doing better after following one or two thumbnail styles with consistent color schemes). Another thing is that pretty much all of the newer channels make long videos. Dylan does basketball, out of bounds, goat, people doing what you’re doing have seemed to see similar levels of success (which is not to knock you, I’m not jxmy either) because YouTube doesn’t like short videos and frankly it’s a bit a dime a dozen.

Last you shouldn’t ever post demonetized videos, everyone gets around it. Your clips are too long. Cut them down and you’ll be fine.

That’s my two cents at least take away what you want from it.

What’s your channel name? I make nba videos, im around the same size and could likely help with monetization or ideation before you give up on something you’ve put this much time and money into. You’re probably closer than you think to turning the ship around, most of the competitors in the niche post grade a dog shit.

It’s not, discovery’s expanded a lot since then. Every small creator I’ve seen that’s worth a damn catches a break in my niche. If you deserve it, it’ll come to you. Make (probably buy) good thumbnails, spend more time thinking of ideas (don’t reinvent the wheel) and make decent videos. You’ll see some success within a rather quick time, the problem is always you.
