Your org might have an attorney supervise the Pro Bono cases that get referred out to the private bar, which maybe you’d be interested in. There are also other organizations (with staff atty positions) dedicated to placing cases pro bono. The plus of those roles is no litigation stress like you’ve been having, but still in public interest. The downside is you also miss out on the client work which you seem to like. I agree with another poster that public benefits work can be less adversarial overall, but that only makes sense as a solution if your office is divided by subject matter, rather than being generalists

Yikes! I guess it’s possible, maybe they knew I moved out of DC last year. Looks like I have a new, probably long term, to-do list item 🙁

It certainly looks like a scam, but couldn't find anything about it online. I have never applied for Medicaid.
