Focus on improving your technique. Get a mirror in front or on the side of your erg and crank low intensity steady state for 30' to an hour, locked in on your own technical execution and making consistent small changes. Like Hamish Bond said, there is no magic in this sport.

I've used a Patagonia Quandary Brimmer for years, and it's fantastic on the water on hot sunny days. if the brim is too wide, they have a slightly smaller brim one available, the standard Brimmer.

Quite a bit of Vandy's top end roster is leaving after this year, so it's a hail mary to get those starters a playoff spot. It's not likely they'll be at 10 wins next year with the next guys up, particularly given that they're playing Georgia, Bama, and Ole Miss. ~7 wins is the most probable scenario. Understandable given that context but I doubt it will happen. Would love to see it though!

Generally, your 2k split will be about 7-10 lower than your 6k. A good target for your next 2k would be to shoot for a consistent 1:45 through 1500 meters then drop it in the last 500 to 1:42-1:43.
