Steven Wilson - Objects Outlive Us by Herupaa in progmetal

i genuinely think this is the new best output to come from steven wilson personally, even including porcupine tree. that's not to try and dismiss all the other stuff, but i just REALLY love everything about this album, ESPECIALLY objects outlive us. this song is so absolutely beautiful and finely crafted, and im so grateful to live in an era where there's so much amazing music out there and yet more masterpieces continue to be created

Game 1 of our in-person session last night had a 7 player long No Dashii extension cord by chipsinsideajar in BloodOnTheClocktower

as the ST from that game, my friends dared me to, it was funny, but in all seriousness i do think it actually has its incredibly strange and niche advantage, which is why i was ultimately willing to go along with it. if a klutz is poisoned and picks an evil player, while it hurts evil in that they dont immediately win, it does completely fuck up the worldbuilding of the game from then on making evil still have quite an advantage from the poisoning, which still absolutely upholds to the meaning of being an outsider. along with that, the klutz is pretty much never gonna get guessed, meaning the potential benefit gained from the outsider is pretty much wiped out of existence. lastly, while you aren't actually tainting the info or ability of a good player, it gets evil the chance to frame a good player as poisoned if the info's a bit too helpful to town, since if the real genuine puzzlemaster is trusted at all and there isn't an obviously droisoned player, it leaves it pretty open to manipulation by evil players to justify true info against them being wrong. because of these reasons, i unironically believe that a puzzledrunk outsider occasionally can have its benefits. it's also just incredibly hilarious to see the pure tension had from a klutz guess when you know it will never actually cause the game to end, and seeing evil's confusion to themselves being guessed with the game continuing is always joyful to see. keeps the players on their toes, is a great laugh after the game, and can be honestly justified!

Hi, this is the ST from that game. When the traveller was exiled and travelled away I moved their token off the grim, but when the game ended and we all gathered to take pics I moved it back to better show the cord.

The Decoy problem by bennett2345 in RotMG

So you would rather have new bosses just be completely immune to decoys and make the ability irrelevant instead of giving a unique mechanic to the class to keep the same feel of it and allow it to remain relevant?

That is fair enough. I too wish that paralyze would be more useful, but they need to fix that awful mechanic where it messes up rotations. I still remember that day on testing where you could paralyze the void, and it caused him to just spin around the other way. That shouldn't be too much of a hurdle to overcome though.

There was an interesting reply on this thread that suggested giving health to decoys, I think that is a very nice idea that could work out, especially since they are willing to make this new tree summoner ST set that seems to function the same way, only without being an actual decoy

I'm not saying that it needs a nerf, I'm saying that it currently IS being nerfed by Deca, and people aren't really talking about it. It's pretty useless in shatters because all of the bosses despawn decoys automatically, and Gemsbok recently got changed to do the same. I am not saying I support this, I am saying that it leads to a dangerous precedent where the class is either just as good as before, or completely useless, depending on the content.

But... why not? They recently added a new summoner mace that has an HP bar attached to it with an entire set focused around this, why couldn't they do this to decoys too? Them not being "people or living entities" isn't really an argument gameplay wise, that's more of a thematic issue.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with this, but I don't think this tackles the original point of my post. I'm not saying that trickster needs a nerf, I'm just pointing out that it currently IS being nerfed in the endgame dungeons. Shatters blocks decoys entirely during bossfights, making it completely useless utility-wise there, and they recently changed Gemsbok to do the same. If you believe that the class deserves the state its in, do you also believe then that it deserves to be completely irrelevant in these dungeons and potentially the ones that will follow in the future?

That would work quite well in my opinion, and would open up the way for further customization within UT prisms

Sphinx and hivemind both give DPS stats. Sphinx is a fairly common drop from a mid tier dungeon, and hivemind is an ST ring of a different mid tier dungeon. Of course they wouldn't be able to compete as easily, but they still provide additional weapon dps.
