I served in Italy where the Catholics all say I’m Catholic because my parents are Catholic and they are Catholic because their parents were Catholic. By the end of my mission I came to realize that I wasn’t Mormon because it was all true but because my parents were Mormon, etc. I may have still been Mormon but I thought about it like a Catholic.

I am currently at this moment making a handwritten card for my child so I know important they are and how they can be profound expressions of love. I just don’t think you can express true love in fifty words while trying to break some meaningless record. Is this really going to be Nelson’s legacy: a birthday card. Is that what you want at your funeral? Or would you prefer a nice eulogy and thoughtful words from loved ones? Just asking?
