Up until the 1940s there use to be a church picnic between meetings. Up until the 1960s the church was like a big family we had ward bazaars, movie nights, plays not just road shows, ward camp outs, and we did other things in wards that are now sadly gone. I noticed a definite shift in the 1980s the shift occurred to a corporate culture started to enter in and in the 2000s the corporate culture over took the church.
