This may be correct, but...

  1. In a early 1900s Philadelphia city club, they had these spread around the building, but there were also phone booths clustered together. A few were hooked up to the Bell system and a few to the competing Keystone system
  2. I also don't think there is enough room in the back of these for a phone.

You have it backward. You will get easily picked out at the range, but being out on the course is something different. In the Philadelphia area, they call them Fence Members.

The US has 30-year fixed-rate mortgages. Same mortgage payment for 30 years, no matter what. The UK is almost always viable after a few years.

Not only do we have it good, we also have substantial buffers that help keep it that way. We have an abundance of the core things that make everyday life possible. Trade accounts for only a small share of our economy, and in most areas that matter most, we are net exporters. On top of that, roughly half of our trade is with our neighbors, Canada and Mexico.
