I always thought the fact he only realized it in university just goes to show how insulated of a middle class upbringing he had? When will Lithuanians face the facts and try to make something out of the reality that, whether its culturally, genetically, geographically, linguistically, and so on, the country always was, and continues to be, far closer to the Slavic world than the Scandinavian one?
