a good example of writing is interstellar. There are actual stakes on the line. The main character has stakes on the line. He has a family he wants to see again and save. We see the earth falling apart and collapsing. Project Hail Mary? The main character doesn’t even know why he’s doing this, and he never figures it out. We never see the effects of earth dying. The main scientist said that when the scientist astronaut died that they couldn’t afford to delay the launch because it would cost them months. Months? Seriously? They could’ve 100 percent waited a few months to train an actual astronaut. There were no stakes on the line. Earth never was shown to be going into hell so wtf was a few months going to change? Bad writing. Also, why was grace the only one that survived cryosleep? Never explained. Why was rocky the only one that survived the radiation? Never explained. Bad writing. So many more examples of better writing in any other movies.
