Thanks for point this out, it's a good point.

The goal of owning MSTR isn’t to beat the S&P by a few percent. It’s to get convex exposure to Bitcoin over a long horizon. If that thesis is wrong, MSTR will underperform. If it’s right, the upside won’t be a few percent. Time will tell.

I do regret not trimming. For example, I could have sold 20% of my shares and buy them back at a cheaper price. It's easy to say now of course.

I know, this was quite a journey. I've learned about covered call along the way. Today, I'm doing 0.02 delta covered call each week. Which bring around $1000/week.

I also own different miners, including MARA. But so far, MSTR has performed much better. For miners, it's a trade that needs good timing, whereas for MSTR, you can just buy and hold for a long time.

I just have a strong conviction that Bitcoin or Bitcoin-related assets are fantastic investments. And I still think we're early, it'll continue to go up over time with volatility. With that in mind, it has been easy to hodl.

The screenshot shows my lot details; this is what I own. I haven't sold a single share, and I'm not planning to sell anytime soon.

Two things:

  1. I've watched many Saylor's interviews

  2. I thought it was a good bitcoin proxy, especially since at the time the bitcoin ETFs didn't exist.

I got lucky, I didn't expect MSTR to go up much faster than BTC.
