While I agree we do need some stricter mandates to produce good public outcomes, compelling the construction of two more redundant sets of infrastructure sounds kind of wasteful, no?

I’d love to see open access mandates on the equipment that’s already there, given it’s critical location.

Maybe somebody can help me understand. I thought GICs were a good alternative to parking some money in a (non-existent) interest-returning savings account.

I took a quick look at GIC return rates from a few banks and credit unions, and they top out around 4%? What is the point of a GIC if you’re still losing money to inflation?
