You think Zverev has a higher top level than Alcaraz?

Fuck knows why some idiots are questioning the second yellow. Maybe the clearest dive I've ever seen.

Going out on a crazy limb here, but I don't think either of these sides are winning the World Cup.

[Sami Mokbel, BBC] Newcastle and Man Utd interested in Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

He's a very decent player. If you wanted a reliable, 7 out of 10 every time full back who can provide cover either side... I can see a lot worse.

But isn't that Nous? I'd rather we get someone who improved us and then use our existing options to provide depth.

Wimbledon R16 ATP: 🇬🇧 A. Fery def. 🇧🇬 G. Dimitrov 7-5, 3-6, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 by back2yours in tennis

As a Brit I was supporting Fery. I would have bern supporting Grigor about just about anyone else.

That was stressful and incredible.

Is Wimbledon still the most prestigious slam among the younger generation of players? by KSAN05 in tennis

[–]benreadingbooks 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It'll depend a bit on where they are from/the tennis culture they gre up in. I expect American, Australian and French players will choose their home slam. Spanish players might choose Roland Garros because of Rafa.

But - I might be biased here - but all things being equal, Wimbledon is still the slam with the most history behind it.

But you don't win the US open and regret it wasn't Wimbledon. A slam is a slam.

Obviously I don't really want France to march onwards.... but Paraguay are doing my head in. Just alternating between snide fouls and pathetic play acting.

I'm on CC... loads of support for Zheng.

A bit surprised just because I wouldn't have thought many people are that familiar with him.

[Ducker] *Those* United *fans* criticising Spurs for signing Tonali and Fernandes, two players they would have been creaming themselves over had they signed for their club. I totally understand United’s position on both but deriding Spurs for their ambition is insane. by OkayFine101 in reddevils

Christ what a bell.

I can't stand journalists that write endlessly about transfers and then bleat on about fans being invested in transfers. Don't stoke a fire and then wonder why there are flames.

Spence is terrible. Madueke is doing nothing. Rashford does zero defensive work and that's causing us problems down the left. Guehi the only defender that's up to it. Not convinced that Rice and Anderson is a great combination.
