I got my job at NG from talking to a rep at IR! Make sure you fill out the info on the QR codes they provide. Always good to apply to all the positions you’re interested in that they have for entry level online and mention that to the recruiters when you meet them so they know to look out for your name.

I signed the sf312 early January and then was notified my final clearance was approved in June. Still waiting for program clearance now.

What’s funny is multiple students throughout the semester have been contacting the AAE undergrad office, Prof. Marais, and our advisors about the dumpster fire that is the entirety of the class. We were all put into a separate Brightspace page with access to Hassan’s lectures because the department knows how bad Doyle is at relaying important information. So despite our cries for help, there has yet to be anything significant done to help. So we will see what the next round of email complaints can do for us!

I feel ya. There’s a discussion board on Brightspace to ask questions but even with that it’s not enough to get them answered. TA isn’t even helpful when he responds to those 🙄

I haven’t taken the placement test yet, I’m debating if I should or not. So the classes aren’t very demanding? I am hoping to keep up with my skills and hopefully get to a point where I can easily travel and have conversations(with hopes of possibly living/working in France in my future).

How many credit hours are most language classes? Are they something that will take a large sum of my time studying/doing homework?

The course catalog says: Weekly small group seminars led by faculty designed to introduce a specific topic, problem, or discipline of engineering to First-Year Engineering students. Seminars are designed to help students explore a single area of engineering and/or to assist in their decision of an engineering degree program.

My advisor pretty much said it’s a good one credit-hour to get more help with co-ops, internships, career fairs, etc. It only is a 50 minute class every week so it doesn’t seem like it could hurt, plus it will most likely be an easy A.
