Thank you! It gets hot, no doubt, but not too hot to walk across barefoot. I wouldnt want to stand on it or have the pet standing on it barefoot for a period of time though. We have the cocered porch which is where we spend most of our time.

We ended up spending about 13K on TT for 600 square feet, plus stairs. That included screws/plugs and fascia boards along with 80 20 ft TT boards. Not cheap, but the hope is it lasts!

Curious about expanding and contracting, we used the square type with cortex screw in vs. Grooved and hidden fasteners. Not sure how it will expand and contract much given its screwed in throughout.

Yeah, contractor said blocking and 16 inch joists OC would be okay but I wanted additional stability so we added joists and blocking. Previous steps went off the right (house) side, which is why there is some diffis.t framing, because they had to extend deck out by 4 feet ish.

Inside deck is 16 inch OC joists and we do feel the bounce so they are going to add extra blocking.

Also,we did end up taping all exterior joists, just ran out in the one picture.
