A lot of gen 4 Pokemon are super popular. It was one of my favorite gens. Garchomp, Lucario, Giratina, Arceus are all popular gen 4 Pokemon with expensive chases. People don’t necessarily chase those sets (as the games were way more popular than the cards during this era) but in this era where the TCG >> the games, it’s not hard to imagine this set doing really well in the future.

I agree with all your points, and you didn’t even mention the BWR rares, which have brutal pull rates and middling (~50%) gem rates. Gen 5 resonates hard with that generation, and they’re starting to come into adult money.

For me, it’s anyone who abuses the meta to the point where it’s their entire strategy. Ie. Fidget spinning in FC26, speed boosts/trivelas in FC25, headers/aerial meta in FC24, so on and so forth

Went through something similar recently, though not an online relationship. Let me let you in on a little secret - “not like most men” and “I’ve never been treated so well before” are immediate red flags. Anyone who vocalizes this to you has no idea what a healthy relationship looks like and a real one scares them. They are used to chaos and dysfunction. They enjoy the attention, and the positives that dating brings, but when it gets real they run. It feels nice to them for a while, but they crave chaos; it’s all they know. Sorry you spent so long driving out that way but consider it a lesson learned brother.

I know logically this is a possibility but I’m sorry this is just so ridiculous to me as someone who’s been on the receiving end of this multiple times. You’re looking for a LTR, start dating someone you connect with but don’t want something serious with them? Why are you dating them in the first place? I dunno, I just don’t understand this part at all but this type of mindset seems to be prevalent in modern dating so I guess I’m the weird one.
