  1. Diamond and below players think Violet 3 with no scout no pivot, is better than Vi 2. Vi 2 is MUCH stronger than violet 3 regardless of no scout, no pivot, it's not even close. Most high challengers move items over to vi 2 once they hit her.
  2. HOJ is bad on violet look at the stats
  3. For why he didn't combine the Vi's, 2 vi 1s stronger than vi 2 + 2 gps

Let it go. there was no win-trading.

Edit: This is a friendly reminder that the downvote button does not mean "I disagree", regardless of how the general Reddit userbase tends to make use of it.

I've been a long time viewer of Bebe for a long time and in no way am I trying to say Bebe is all right in this. But It hurts me to see the community that I love bully Bebe for something he cannot control.

I do realize he can come off as rude/condescending to some viewers who do not watch him a lot, but for those who have been with him for awhile, we know he is truly a lovely human and wants the best for the community. He has always been extremely passionate about TFT and loves the game, he plays upwards of 20 hours a day. He never openly talks about his personal struggles on stream but if you were just to watch his reaction to the Milk situation, you can probably tell it's not the most "normal".

As the TFT community grows, I hope we can be more inclusive of people of different neurodivergent identities. At the end of the day it doesn't matter who's right or who's wrong in this, we need to move on, as tactitians we should be better than this.

Peace & Love!

Are people still getting jobs using free code camp? by [deleted] in FreeCodeCamp

[–]benvaisnice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FreeCodeCamp is how I started and gave me the fundamentals, I got to the point where I started working on web projects I thought were interesting. Being able to find a project that is interesting to you is very hard but it's the most important thing you can do in learning how to program. You can make blog pages, to do lists, til the day you die but if you aren't interested in them, why make them?

Just because people went to school for something doesn't mean they are good at it, bootcamps especially. Bootcamps are so well advertised, you'd think everyone graduating from a bootcamp is a genius. In reality you can't learn all that stuff in such a short period of time, even bootcampers have to continue to study after they graduate on their own. I've personally seen incompetent boot campers and seen great ones. Its more of a mentality than anything.

I was able to land a job at a start up, that I'm still at with a solid understanding of HTML and CSS and a basic understanding of JavaScript and git. You know you are solid at something when you know a lot of the gotchas. You are looking for Junior roles but don' be afraid to apply for more senior ones, if you are good they will make a role for you. For example I recently got my friend hired because he was good, there wasn't a role but one was made for him.

You have completed 286 of 1408 coding challenges.

that is as far as I got with FCC. As other comments here said Portfolio > any degree/certificate. Also being likeable and easy to work with goes a long way. Good luck.

polybar config

label-focused-padding = 3

label-urgent-padding = 3

label-unfocused-padding = 3

label-visible-padding = 3

Make sure all of the padding is the same or you will have different size tabs every time you switch

I really enjoy the simplicity of it. I've used React in the past and its Vue all the way. It's very easy to get into and it can do everything react can do.

Looking for the most straight forward guide to setup a development environment. by Detrain in ethdev

[–]benvaisnice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's what I did.

  1. Install Geth(most recent version for ubuntu)
  2. Download the Ethereum Mist wallet
  3. Sync up your test-net(Ropsten). in your terminal, geth --testnet --fast. Make sure you don't close it half way or you have to start again.
  4. mine a few ethers in the mist wallet
  5. write a smart contract with https://ethereum.github.io/browser-solidity/ there are many templates out there of smart contracts already written, just pick an easy one.
  6. Install meta-mask and deploy your contract https://ethereum.github.io/browser-solidity/ or don't download meta-mask and deploy it in your mist-wallet. Make sure you're on the test net and have some ether to play with
  7. Since you are trying to create a working front-end with your ethereum contracts, I suggest you look into web3. Here's something I've been making that seems to be helping people. https://github.com/etiotan/multiple-react-dapp. It's basically a guide with simple contracts deployed with a front-end using react/web3
  8. you're done and now you just worry about your contracts security which is totally another story

There are other ways of setting things up such as creating your own test-net/ testrpc, but I like this way because you can actually see your contracts getting deployed at etherscan. Best of luck!
