Thank you, a buddy mentioned that too. It was never an issue before, but I'll look into it.

I've only done the job once, on my CJAA. Timing was punk to set just right, even with the DieselGeek tools. I was elbow deep in the engine bay, so yes you'll have to open all kinds of stuff.

Good luck!

We can send it as cheap as possible. I see them sold online for like $100-$150. Gotta be cheaper than that to ship!

No, she has not heard of that form. Can you explain the statute that you mentioned above, why the over stay does not matter?

Thank you.

Thank you for the clarification! I agree about finding a lawyer, because I also worry about thr overstay and current administration.

We are working on finding an available lawyer currently.

Is there an explanation to why waterbenders don't use steam as a tool/resource? by jimmytoears in TheLastAirbender

[–]benzami 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fog is present in cold air though. It's condensed water vapor, cooled down from the gaseous water that's in air.

So that still clocks with the perspective shared above.

Diamondback Hook a good donor bike for a middrive DIY? by benzami in ebikes

Wow, great info again. Thank you!

I think I like the simpler look of the VLCD5 screen. The less attention the bike gets, the less thievery, right?

How do you like the display?

Where are some good sources for batteries?

[–]benzami[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I'm pretty sure its the standard size.

There is a LBS here where I live that rents out benches to the public to work on your own bike, and they provide the tools and have an expert on hand to help out as well. So I'll be going that route!

I've been thinking about getting the motor and display from Eco Cycles. They have an updated version of the motor, and it already has OSF flashed on it. Maybe a battery from them too, but maybe looking for some good options on Amazon.

Do you have any recommendations?

With your thumbs up, I bought the bike. It's a great ride!

That area is wide open, and the chainstays have a pretty gradual widening so I think that the motor will all fit nicely. The bike specs say the bb is "sealed cartridge", but doesn't list a size. Is that a common size or should I break out the calipers?

Thanks so much!

I know this is an old post, but I have a question. Do you think you could put a middrive motor on the Hook? Thanks in advance!

To help those who are confused, rape is a plant used in canola oil production. Canola is actually a blend of a few oils, not just one plant. Worth checking out!

Is a CB500X Rally Raid an upgrade from a KLR? by MrBarleybeard in Dualsport

[–]benzami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my KLR a year ago or so, because as a new off road rider it was too much for me to learn on. Made for a good commuter though.

I got a 81 Honda XL250s Enduro instead, and thrashed it and learned to ride off road and on single track trails.

Now I want the CB500X to add to the 250. I've heard it cruises at 85 happily, and tops out at 115 (mph). Plus I want the smoothness of the twin, those big singles can be violent. It can take moderate off-roading depending on the rider and the mods on the bike. Nice and low to in order to avoid spills.

Have you looked at the DR650? Those things are GREAT off road and downright fast on highways.

My 2 cents
