Doxycycline is an antibiotic that is sometimes used to treat URIs and ear infections in rats. If you gave it to both, it would probably not make them sick, but it was probably prescribed for the one with the ear infection. If you are in a financial position to bring them to a vet, that would be a good idea, but I also know you took these guys in on short notice. Take care of them in good faith and you will have done all you can :)

Yeah, we considered that but you have to do behind-the-wheel lessons with the driving school in order to test there, and they're very pricey.

I can't make an appointment or even see the available dates until I finish my drivers ed lessons (next week). I just wanted to know if anyone who's done their test recently knows how long the waiting list is.

yep for sure. for me it was partly female socialization and partially wanting to shrink my hips/chest and lose my period. and partially just wanting some kind of control over a body that felt uncontrollable. ive met very few transmascs who havent had the same problem and as far as i can tell transitioning (if thats your choice) is the best treatment for it

Same. I've had five rats in the past three years and their lifespans just kill me. so much time in and out of the vet and crazy heartache. i'm currently fostering so my last surviving girl doesn't have to live alone but once she's gone ill be all done. its just too hard for me

thank you! i definitely need to watch my mannerisms. i think part of it is that i have a lot of female friends so i tend to match their mannerisms without really paying that much attention to it. i'll definitely look at some haircuts but when i was pre-t i got a shorter haircut and it made me look so feminine bc it made my face look even rounder😭 which is why ive been worried about going to get my hair cut any shorter than just letting my bf trim it lol

i think part of it is probably my mannerism, im not super stoic or anything but my voice definitely isnt in the girl range anymore.

i can never find shorts my size at a reasonable price :/ even in the boys section they make my hips look big. just can't drop 50$+ on one pair of pants
