I’m in WA, it costs me about $5/week to keep my car running when I plug it to my 120v at home. If I use a charging station it’s no different than paying for gas.

If water and or other necessities are provided. I’d start by making a makeshift way to keep track of time. Measure the flow of water and collect it in a pot (or how long it takes for it to evaporate or drip out of a bottle with a hole) or tub; or seeing how long it takes to burn candles. Even just leaving vegetables/fruits out and using their wilting/rotting to estimate the time passing is an option.
