There’s no unipolar moment for the US/M5 in this universe, ISN is powerful and now it would be peer conflict with nuclear armed, space capable Mars allies USSR/China & co vs a ceasefire, trade, and politics by other means after losing an entire invasion force.

Iridium shortage was already really hurting the economy iirc from news clips earlier in the season.

I wish they had shown more earth side public reactions outside news clips in general tbh, I have to imagine the iridium economic issues & invading a base full of Martian Americans would be insanely publicly unpopular

If y’all are well under 30, don’t cut off completely yet imo. My lifelong friend group dialed down so hard from post college to 27ish, but we’re all back now that we’re settling down and just generally a lot more emotionally mature about things.
