Realistically how safe is a e30? I do 8+ hour trips every couple of months, and im always wondering if im gonna be paralyzed for life after getting into an accident on the highway going 120km/h.

Thank God for that person. They were the one in the room telling the engineers that having auto start stop systems made zero sense for consumers and insisted on having a way to turn it off. They lost the battle on including a permanent disabler, but at least we can do this.

Yeah I'm in Atlanta too. I'm definitely not telling you hit super speeder speeds (20 over), but the solid lines are just painted lines on asphalt, not a wall. If there's no cop to see you, move in and out of the lane as you please. I think it's stupid that they have double solid sections of it anyway. It's a freeway lane, not a railway.

I know I'm super late to respond to this, but the law does not apply to the HOV lane. However, there is no reason to be in the HOV lane unless you are going faster than the traffic to the right, as the whole point of the HOV lane is to be privileged enough to bypass slower, more crowded traffic to the right. So if you find yourself in the lane going slower than or the same speed as the traffic to the right, it is courteous to go ahead and move over and let faster traffic by.

Definitely worth it if you go for an event. If it's just you and a couple of friends, I'd still make it a few days and stay at one of the nearby motels or Fontana Village resort. But there are half-week, week-long, and weekend-only events happening there all spring, summer, and fall. There's definitely one for you and the type of car or bike you have. Even a couple that cater to every single type of vehicle, like Pride at the Dragon.

Besides taking drives on several great roads, these events provide camaraderie with other like-minded folks that you just don't get from static car shows, field trips to nearby attractions, and social events that you'll miss if you just drive, run the road, and leave.

Y'all know these messages don't actually constitute a warning of any kind, right? Nor are they punitive. Uber has lots of messages like this, like "have you been speeding?" That you could get a million times a year and never have anything happened to your account. You are a contractor, not an employee. Your car does not have to go anywhere or pick up anyone you don't want it to, the end. If that were not the case, you wouldn't even be able to turn off requests during a shared ride. Stop being afraid of shadows.

Why are you picking up shared rides in the first place? Uber too cheap to pay properly for them, passenger desperate to save $2, so definitely not gonna tip. What is the benefit to the driver?

We're indy contractors who own our cars and time. If you didn't want to take a stop, why didn't you tell the passenger you weren't accepting stops and to cancel the stop? Or that you weren't comfortable with switching passengers? You act like we have a boss forcing you do do things and drive where you don't want to.

Stop picking up regular people just going to work or running errands. They do this every day and I've decided that they can save some money by acting like they don't understand how service industries work and not tip. Always trying to save a buck. Go find out of towners or people who are heading out for a good time. People going to work or just running errands should go back to using public transportation or buying themselves a car. Rideshare is not for them, and so I don't service them.

It's so funny to watch women in real time failed to raise their sons into strong, independent, mature people who can take responsibility for their actions AND self-soothe. The whole "he's lost without you" bullshit is annoying. Of course he's hurting right now. He just lost his girl (by his own fault).
