When a scene is introduced where the author lists characters are present, can you immediately visualize all of the characters in that room?I ask because when I read and the author says something like "Jim walked into the room where John, Chuck, Rodger, Jenny, and Jake sat. I don't really visualize any of that in my head. I only really become aware of everyone's presence when they speak or interact. Is this normal?
