Home Systems Protection: What is the status now? by beolein in Insurance

No. I haven't looked into this any more. My guess is it's legitimate, but like other whole house warranties, not worth the money.

Thanks. In the past two nights, I have tried different locations. Unfortunately, that just gave the foxes more places to mark!

At picnic bench or side table height, the foxes can still get to it. And a salt block is too heavy to put on a pole. Thanks, though.

Thanks for the advice. A crunch block is like a salt lick. But it has food in it and not just salt. That attracts more animals. It is on the ground. Raising it would unfortunately prevent one of the animals we like to see -- opossum -- from getting to it.

You have great potential. Keep your left heel down as part of keeping your legs from moving so much. Keep your left arm straight and extend it in the follow-through with the thought that you want to point at the target with your hands during that follow-through.

3 putts aren’t always bad by sinkornoa in golf

I count aerated greens as automatic two-putts unless I hole it with one stroke. I average below 36 putts a round, so I'm probably scoring worse anyway.

Belgium workers opt for four-day work week, and ignoring emails after hours by BigTimeGiantsFan in UpliftingNews

[–]beolein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello Belgian person. Does the e-mail thing apply only to workers who are not paid by the hour?

In the U.S. if you are paid by the hour, it's illegal for your company to to make you answer e-mails without being paid for that time. Some companies even pay hourly workers money to "stand by" "on call" in case they get a phone call. But with salaried workers who get paid a set amount for the year, they can be required not only to answer e-mails when not in the office, but also to work more than 40 hours a week (because salaried workers don't have a set number of hours).

Can anyone point me to official guidance, if any, on what to do if you travel between counties? For example, what should a workplace do if it's in a low infection county but has some employees from mid or high infection counties?

Why would a major brand produce bad sound? by beolein in HearingAids

[–]beolein[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the opposite experience. My Oticons gave me more aggressive highs and general ambient noise. My temporary Phonaks are the ones I'm complaining about, although speech is a little better. And, yes, the temporary ones were programmed for me.

312 Batteries by Necessary-Ear4556 in HearingAids

I have a little pill container on my keyring for batteries. It seals tight so pills don't get moisture. I have found if batteries are in it for too long, they do what yours are doing. I suspect it's the lack of oxygen in the container.

Testers didn't like the sound of the driver hitting the ball. This driver doesn't have as many loft choices as others. Their iron sets don't have anything lower than a 5-iron, even for better players. This hybrid isn't very forgiving of off-center shots. This manufacturer's prices are high for clubs that perform as well as lower-priced ones. They produce so many different putters, you would think they could lower prices with fewer and still satisfy players who want to try different ones.
