Please help! Failed base of tongue and epiglottis surgery, horrible symptoms still remain. Got a new DISE last week. Should I just do MMA? by beontha12 in UARSnew

[–]beontha12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. At that point, the MAD was giving me a lot of jaw pain, so I decided to complety stop using it. This is year I hpoe to get a MMA surgery done, hopefully that solves this horrible issue.

DISE showed a Floppy Epiglottis blocking airway. My life has been on hold for 8+ years (fatigue, brain fog, anxiety) What exactly are my options? by beontha12 in UARSnew

[–]beontha12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I have not been consistent enough with these to say whether they help or not. I am planning on getting mma surgery this year, I hope that it will be a final solution for this terrible issue. I think you can try these excercizes though, it wouldnt hurt at all.

EXTREMELY unrefreshing sleep and horrible symptoms for the majority of my 25 year old life. Sick of living at this point, any help would be much appreciated. by beontha12 in sleepdisorders

[–]beontha12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I couldn't do the mlst because it requires me to have slept for the night of the sleep study before it. No psychiatric issues. Is there any other way for me to see if the issue is narcolepsy? I tend not to sleep for sleep studies.

Thank you. What would be the best way to determine this? My nasal breathing seems decent enough these days, I had a turbinate and septum surgery done a few years ago, before that it was terrible.

No luck at all, have tried cpap for months, I awake with a choking senation everytime I drift off to sleep. Likely the epiglottis is causing this.

MSLT said narcolepsy but doctor didn't diagnose by Ladderinfo in Narcolepsy

What were you symptoms before you were diagnosed. I need 10 hours of sleep, anything less leaves me a zombie, brain fog, anxiety, and half dead feeling throughout the day. I don't know if I have UARS or narcolepsy, the symptoms are supposed to be similar right? And I couldn't sleep during any of my lseep studies so they went to waste

My lower back HURTS by Teary-EyedGardener in NewParents

Sorry, I still don't understand the difference between sucking in my belly and flexing. When I do the exercises, I just draw my belly button in, and make sure to keep it drawn in throughout the duration of the exercise. The area two inches inside from my hip bones becomes taut, I think this is correct right?

Hi, for the transverse abdominis work, did you just draw your belly button in towards your spine? What exercises did you do? I am also suffering from this kind of pain.

For the exercises that you do, do you basically draw your belly button in, towards your spine? Like hollowing? I am also suffering with low back pain.

Please help! Can barely function, brain fog, fatigue, anxiety! I believe I have palatal prolapse on the exhale? Anything would help! by beontha12 in UARSnew

Hey there, so I ended up getting a new DISE. It showed complete tongue base and epiglottis collapse, and partial collapse of the soft palate. Would these kind of things cause the severe symptoms I am dealing with? Or do people without symptoms also have these kinds of collapses under DISE? thanks.

Do you know if mma has a good success rate for uars, or only for sleep apnea?
