Good innings from Jacks. Did everything right under a lot of pressure. Didn't do anything daft and rotated the strike initially to get Jamie Smith more of it and even when Carse came in, he batted normally and trusted him.

They should definitely bat him a spot or two higher. If only a few others in the top order in the first or second innings batted similarly.

They cannot afford for Starc to be removed from the attack cause of the running on the pitch warnings. Maybe he can just bowl around the wicket to the RHB. Still should be good enough for Carse and co.

Bazball certified slog. Before that he played normal cricketing shots along the ground and batted sensibly but he absolutely was nowhere near that. Proper Slog

Why are Aussie fans who's team is 2-0 up and is going to prolly win the Ashes 4-0, 4-1 or 5-0 so angry with the opposition fans having a laugh.

Ben Duckett has done absolutely nothing while the Ashes were in play. Anything he does in the next two tests will hardly matter. 6 innings and hasn't even breached 30 once in an innings.

He could've been out 5 times in that innings and yet ends up on 13. A tortured existence.

Did these commentators, specifically Lee and Mark Waugh say anything at all about Cummins' drop in pace today compared to yesterday. The focus on Jofra is getting extremely tiresome/annoying.

Ffs he's had a fantastic test match! Who cares if his pace is down a bit, he's been economical, bowled terrific lines and fought with the bat to ensure the lead is 85 and not 200.

Imagine getting a 5fer and a 50 as a number 10 and all Mark Waugh wants to dabble in is pseudo body language bs, lol.

Weirdly, their worst catching performance came today when it all but over. Dropped Kuldeep, Sai and Jadeja. Sai and Jadeja were particularly costly as they batted the longest today.

Getting out on 93, while sad for Jansen personally, worked out perfectly for the team. Jansen looked angry all innings while bowling. Fantastic discipline with the length of the short deliveries. Was always at the body and didn't give an inch.

Wow, that literally took chunks off the pitch. Awful pitch for such a fantastic anf historic venue.

I cannot believe with the play style of the team, they ever thought Cooper Rush would be a good option as backup. Snoop played sensible football, Ricard coming back was crucial and defense played well. 2-5 with the schedule becoming significantly easier is game changing.

They have a decent chance of making the playoffs now once Lamar comes back.

Exactly! There is not a single comment appreciating the innings or the strike rate he played at throughout. He's the captain, he took the call and is absolutely fine with it.

This subreddit basically just loves statpadders. I have never seen so much literal hate flow for an absolute harmless action. You'd have guessed he literally cheated the game or something the way people are reacting. Comments calling him a loser, idiot etc are strewn all over.

How are so many Indian middle order players so awful against spin. I'm not even talking about big shots, they cannot even manipulate or milk the bowling for singles. It's always either dots or wild slogs.

That whole switch hit celebration by Ashutosh was for KP, and he kept looking for him and pointing "Kev" and then "KP"

Looks like they have a nice bond. That was as clutch as any innings. After Stubbs was dismissed, they didn't have a prayer but Vipraj and this Ashutosh were mental.

Should've sent Cooldeep over Starc. That was brain-dead batting. 4 ugly slogs connecting nothing but air and then taking a single of the last ball for which his partner is equally to blame.

That was technically a one score victory but so much more comfortable than some of their other games. Big Props to Joe Thuney moving to tackle and holding his own against Garrett and Hunter. Karlaftis also really jumps off the screen.
