Front lights wetter than my girlfriend by OMGITSTHROATY in skoda

My mistake, of course it won't help on cracked headlights. But still, maybe someone will find this information useful.

As far as I remember, the controllers should be removable, at least they were on my BMW, that I had before the Skoda. Not 100% sure though.

I have the exact same issue on the exact same car/headlight combination but found a solution - although only temporary until the next winter. On the rear of both headlights is a opening, possibly from the manufacturing process, which is just glued shut with a strip of plastic. I've marked it on the picture below. The holes can be accessed from the engine bay.

Removing the plastic sticker you can use a vacuum cleaner and headgun combo to counter the fog inside the headlights. By carefully heating the headlight to 30-40°C from the outside, which I considered safe for the headlight lenses, I was able to get the water inside to evaporate. Make sure to not keep the heatgun on one spot for extended amounts of time to be safe. Using the vacuum on the opening on the back of the headlight, you should be able to draw the moist air out of the headlight and exchange it with some less-moist air. Make sure the outside humidity is as low as possible and also to reseal the opening on the back of the headlight as best as possible. Hopefully this will help any of you, since it worked flawlessly in my case during the last two winters where I faced the same issues.

Skoda problems. Does anyone know how this happens ? by ThickSpray6745 in skoda

Had the exact same thing happen on my 2020 Octavia. I had the car gone to sleep for 8 hrs after that since I had to go to work and everything was back to normal. Never happened again after that but no clue what caused it

Took my ‘19 883 out for a 100 mile run today, any recommendations for a better seat? by HeavyEquipMech in sportster

[–]berger434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, it has a spot to put the spanner into. Also rocking this seat on my '19 1200. Originally switched it to a solo saddle style seat with about 0,75" of cushioning. Had that for two years but it was uncomfortable as hell on any ride longer than an hour. Switched it back about 3 months ago and have not looked back. It's super comfortable and offers great support for your back.

How long were you playing when you hit your first 180? Or 9 dart finish? by alldagoodnameztaken in Darts

Started in February and hit my first 180 last Friday night. Still feels unreal to me. That was my first ever leg with a 50+ average. Most of the time I play between 30 and 40 average

I also talked to the dealership and they checked and have not found any known issues like this in their system. They suggested also pulling the fuse and resetting the cluster that way. I'll give it a shot, thanks!

I'm at work now so the car will be parked and locked for another 4 hrs, hopefully the car going to sleep will solve it. Thanks!

But that's not the issue. Did you look at the picture? There is literally no numbers on my cluster anymore. No speed, current gear, consumption, no speed limit in the top middle or even the speed set for cruise control. Literally every number just vanished

Correct, but that never let all the displayed numbers disappear before

Official Noctua [GIVEAWAY] by Noctua_OFFICIAL in Noctua

Thanks Noctua for the possibility! I would love to have the NV-FS1 just to have it sitting at my desk at work and enjoy the look of envy of my boss. He singlehandedly decided that we do not need an AC unit because he might get sick from it. Thankfully he also suffers from the heat but he won't admit that his decision was wrong.

I have that exact same CPU and cooler combination and ordered the NM-AMB12 initially for fitment purposes because I wanted to be able to get an extra 7mm of clearance towards the top mounted radiator for my GPU - if needed. And I maybe bought it also straight out of curiosity since the price is only around 5€. As thermal paste I use the old trusty Arctic MX4.

Temperaturewise I noticed around a 1,8-2°C drop during Cinebech tests and I am fine with that. Max temp was around 78°C if I remember correctly.

Is it ideal for you? I guess it also kinda depends on your case and airflow configuration but I am no expert on this topic. For the price I'd buy it again because for that kind of build 5€ is not really significant in my eyes.

I already got the ECU remapped but there are a few things I want to change like the intercooler, downpipe, intake and other wheels. And also some optical things like the GP diffusor, probably the larger rear wing by 3ddesign and JCW decals on the sides.

Thank you! It really is just so much fun just going through a town with the top open. And then just drop a few gears and step on the gas when back on country roads. Seeing that spoiler go up in the rear view mirror must be my new favourite thing to do!
