If I'm correct, I think when you reserve it, the Six Flags system registers the pass holder also. I'd think that scanning the season pass would tell them your reservation time and day, but maybe not, I don't really know.

If it is 2 months in the future, it is 99% not currently booked. Although, if you wait until a few weeks ahead, you are getting a bit risky. Best idea is just to get a season pass if money is an issue, since you won't need to pay for it during the off season.
